Andrew is widely recognized as a leading expert on digital communications and PR. He received a B.A. journalism from The Ohio State University and a certificate in medical writing and editing from the University of Chicago. In addition to public relations work for a broad range of clients, he was the co-founder, editor and publisher of Gapers Block, an award-winning Chicago-centric news and events online magazine from 2003 through 2016. He has developed online content for corporate clients such as American Express, Kenneth Cole, Remedy Medical Properties, A&E and Starwood Hotels, and has taught online journalism at Columbia College and Loyola University Chicago. In 2009 he was named to Crain's Chicago Business' 40 Under 40 list of young business leaders.

Dan is a long-time writer and editor with extensive experience in communications, publishing, advertising, marketing, public relations, and social media. He holds a BA in communications from Northern Illinois University, and worked as a writer, editor and podcast producer for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) for over 20 years. In his spare time, he serves as literary editor for the Third Coast Review, an independent arts publication serving Chicago, and has contributed work to Chicago Magazine, the Chicago Reader, Chicago Journal, The Baffler, Harvard Magazine, The University of Chicago Magazine, and others.

Eden's entire career has revolved around translating complex, boring, and stressful subject matter to help people feel confident, engaged, and even delighted. Her content strategy, UX writing, web and marketing copy experience has run the gamut from helping employees make good decisions about their health care and finances, to translating cognitive behavioral therapy tools into a chatbot that users can rely on in their darkest moments, to unpacking the Kafka-esque details of Medicare for new beneficiaries. (In fact, her digital explainer on Medicare won a Clearmark Award from the Center for Plain Language for, no joke, its “vibrant and interesting storyline.”). She also writes novels, which get nominated for awards but have yet to win any of them. 

Jocelyn is experienced in creating social media strategy and content for small businesses. She has extensive knowledge of copywriting and editing, and loves a chance to wield a red pen to help businesses create professional and engaging content. Event planning and production are also passions of Jocelyn's, including creating and producing the storytelling series "The First Time" for CHIRP Radio. She also enjoys wielding a weeder in her garden.

Mary has worked with Glendale for more than 20 years, providing a wealth of medical and scientific communications and public relations experience to our clients. She received a B.A. in French from DePaul University and began her career as a newspaper reporter and editor before joining the American Medical Association, where she served as staff editor of the medical journals Archives of Dermatology and Archives of Ophthalmology. In addition to medical writing and editing, she has organized medical education conferences, administered research grants and conducted extensive media relations with both medical and consumer health publications.

Veronica is experienced with helping people tell their stories through personal narrative, social media posts, or an opinion piece. She is a scientist by training and takes a methodical approach to crafting the appropriate strategy for each client. An excellent project manager, Veronica spent over 25 years in higher education at the University of Illinois Chicago managing grants large and small, including as program director of a $5.2M U.S. Department of Education grant. She has a BS in Biological Sciences and MPA in Public Administration, both with concentrations in Gender and Women's Studies. 

An expert in public relations, public affairs, scientific and medical communications, Sam had a long and successful track record serving a broad range of clients. He began his career in radio and television, and received B.A. and M.A. degrees in journalism from The Ohio State University. During the Vietnam War, he was responsible for a newspaper serving more than 400,000 troops, and then worked in advertising before joining Abbott Laboratories as manager of public affairs. He later accepted a senior account management position with Burson-Marsteller, the world's largest public relations firm, and served as public relations director for G.D. Searle & Co., a major pharmaceutical company, for 11 years prior to founding Glendale Communications Group. He received numerous awards, including the Thomas Jefferson Award for mass communications from the U.S. Department of Defense, the Esquire Corporate Social Responsibility Award while at Abbott and the Gold Triangle Award from the American Academy of Dermatology for excellence in patient education.
